A newly transferred, lonely gay student whose parent sits on the school board. He attempts to found a Gay Student Alliance but is blocked by the conservative administration. Recruited by Diwata to join the debate team as a means to socialize, he participates in their activities and a subsequent night out that results in detention. His involvement ultimately expands his social network and provides him with valuable personal connections.
