Black British soldier kidnapped by an IRA unit at a rural fairground. While held captive, he bonds with his guard Fergus and recounts the fable of the Scorpion and the Frog. Before his death, he asks Fergus to look after his lover Dil. He attempts to escape during an execution order and is accidentally killed by a passing vehicle.
