A depressed alcoholic neighbor of Mili. He is inspired by her cheerful demeanor, undergoes a positive transformation, and falls in love with her. Upon learning of her fatal illness, he initially considers leaving but is convinced otherwise by a neighbor's reproach. He ultimately marries her and takes her abroad for medical treatment.
