A wedding planner preparing for his New Year's Eve ceremony, Eddie takes a football knowledge test from his fiancée Elyse to prove their compatibility. After she fails, he initially cancels the wedding but later reconciles and marries her. He is deeply attached to the Baltimore Colts and is bailed out of jail by his father.
