An impoverished Scottish landowner who mistakenly assumes Jeannie is wealthy when he overhears her conversation with Stanley. He courts Jeannie, showing her around Scotland including Loch Lomond and his castle. He proposes marriage but is exposed as initially motivated by her supposed money. Although he claims to love her for real, Jeannie rejects him after learning his true financial motives.
