The exiled, paralyzed, and mute third brother. Hated by his mother for resembling her deceased husband, he lives in isolation in the attic. He is visited by his father's ghost to warn of their family's tragedy but remains physically unable to act. The film ends with him joining Sigleinde in searching the mountains for his dead relatives.
