The young and inexperienced monarch of Great Britain, initially controlled by Sarah Churchill's intrigues. She becomes infatuated with Arthur Masham and attempts to signal him with a glass of water at a ball. After being protected by Henry St. John from Sarah's confrontation, she relies solely on Henry and witnesses Sarah's exile.
