Settled and pacifistic rancher in 1880s Kansas. He and his cousin Dutch decide to break their wild brother Matt out of custody to save him from hanging, turning them all into wanted outlaws. They subsequently join a violent gang to rob cattle baron Deke Turner's holdings across the state.
