A tough but not very bright captain who operates as a rum-runner along the American coasts in 1925. After his boat is sunk by the U.S. Coast Guard, he survives, travels to Mexico, and later returns to Jamaica to command the ship The Lady of my Heart. Upon seeing a silent film featuring Linda Larue, he abandons smuggling to search for her across the Gulf of Mexico, eventually finding her on a deserted beach.
