A lonely immigrant and impersonator in Paris who becomes infatuated with a Marilyn Monroe impersonator. He travels to a Scottish commune, witnesses her tragic death, and ultimately returns to Paris disillusioned, eventually breaking character to walk among celebrating crowds.
