Travels from Cambridge to the Barbary Coast searching for her long-lost brother John. She becomes a star singer at saloon owner Dude Forante's establishment. After receiving a ring belonging to her brother, she recruits Police Captain Dan Martin to investigate. She falls for Forante but is heartbroken when Rio Jordan claims Forante murdered her brother. Encouraged by showgirl Mickey to stay, she discovers evidence at Jordan's mission suggesting he might actually be her brother.
Sally develops romantic feelings for Forante while working at his saloon.
