A photo shop owner and mother of Li who later raises her granddaughter Hua. Traumatized by her own lost dreams and abandonment, she strongly advises Hua against keeping Du's child. She passes away just as Hua decides to seek an abortion, leaving Hua to navigate motherhood independently.
