Bob's mother. To prevent her son's prosecution for a fatal car accident, she attempts to ruin her husband's political career by orchestrating a scandal. After being double-crossed by a crook hired by a political rival, she flees to a secluded hotel during a forest fire. There, she learns the truth from Diane, returns to her family, and secures Bob's release.
