The protagonist, daughter of John Gray. Initially a nurse in the Yukon, she witnesses her father's death and endures harassment from Bateese Le Blanc. To escape her fate, she joins Barker's dance hall and marries Jim Blood to secure her safety. After being abducted by Barker and Regan, she is rescued by Jim. She later returns to Montreal, receives mine profits, and reunites with Jim after he overcomes his alcoholism.
