Frank's fellow postal inspector and close friend. He accompanies Frank to Stanfield, adopts a false identity, and undergoes the Hood Legion's initiation. After discovering Don's murder, he confronts editor McCollum, is captured by the legion, and is later rescued by the National Guard alongside Nancy.
