An orphan from Halabja who arrives at the refugee camp, she is a bitter and traumatized young woman haunted by a past gang rape. She travels with her disabled brother and secretly cares for her infant son, Riga, whom she views as a painful reminder of her trauma. Overwhelmed by despair, she repeatedly attempts suicide and ultimately drowns her child before taking her own life.
