Financially struggling local fisherman who initially demands seals be shot for ruining the fishing season. Becomes jealous and hostile toward Andre and the Whitneys, attempting to harm the seal with a pitchfork. Later reconciles with his son and the community after the storm rescue, eventually becoming harbor master.
