Katharina is a divorcee living in a Bavarian Alpine village. Initially shocked and unable to handle her son Hans's homosexuality, she kicks him and his fiancé Nicki out. After facing social backlash and isolation, she eventually accepts them, reconciles with her ex-husband Christian, and supports their wedding.
