Newly appointed marshal of Antioch who investigates the murder of bandit queen Belle Starr. He pursues a romantic interest in Rose while hunting the outlaw Bob Yauntis. After being wounded by Bob's concealed weapon, Jackson ultimately kills him, clearing his name and protecting Rose.
