An autistic man who lives with his grandmother in a village. He marries a destitute widow named Lalitha to help her, faces societal backlash, and later moves to the city after his grandmother's death. He grows closer to Lalitha, raises a family, and eventually cherishes her memory after her passing, leaving his home with his descendants carrying a tulsi plant.
