The protagonist and central figure of the film. As a young Jewish man in Baghdad, he actively participates in the Zionist underground, delivers messages to imprisoned friends in disguise, helps smuggle Jews to Iran, and endures severe police torture. He ultimately joins his family's emigration to Israel.
