Young officer from a patriotic family who joins Aaron Burr's cause. After being court-martialed and cursing the United States, he is exiled to sea for life. He travels the world through ten presidential administrations, performs heroic acts like fighting pirates, and eventually secures a pardon from President Lincoln before dying as his ship returns home.
