King of the Paurava Kingdom and Porus's father. Initially marries Anusuya for political revenge but later reconciles with her. He faces betrayal from his minister Shivdutt and ally Ambhiraj, leading to Anusuya's exile and Porus's separation. Later remarries and fathers Kanishk. During the war with Alexander, he is severely injured by Shivdutt and ultimately dies in battle, leaving Porus to lead the defense.
