A chivalrous Wudang swordsman who leads a martial arts coalition against an evil cult. He falls in love with Lian Nichang but betrays her under pressure from the jianghu. Haunted by guilt, he spends years guarding a rare healing flower, later intervenes to stop Lian, and ultimately dies reconciled with her after receiving the flower.
