Exiled prince of Ayodhya who travels to the wilderness with his wife Janaki and brother Shesh. He leads the Vanara army to Lanka, builds a bridge across the sea, and ultimately defeats Lankesh by exploiting the loophole in his divine boon. After the war, he completes his exile and is crowned king.
