Charlie's childhood friend who orchestrates a fake death plot and assumes the alias Butch Ryder. Initially posing as an FBI agent, he is actually a guidance counselor. He drives the Puerto Rican adventure, secretly seeks a cancer cure to save his own life, and ultimately survives to reunite with his family.
