Dedee's much older half-brother and a gay teacher in a conservative Indiana community. He lives with his partner Matt, mourns his late partner Tom, helps track down Dedee and Matt, takes Dedee to the hospital, retrieves Tom's ashes, and ultimately cares for Dedee's newborn son.
