Local nurse in the impoverished town of Cold Rock. Believing a rescued boy named David is her son, she later discovers he is a kidnapped child. She pursues his biological mother, returns him to 'the Tall Man', and falsely confesses to kidnapping and murder to protect the underground child-rescue organization, ultimately sacrificing herself to imprisonment.
