Terry is Jack's wife and a literature professor's spouse. Struggling with alcoholism and suspicion, she initially accuses Jack of cheating and throws him out. After an apology and a promise to stop drinking, she later embarks on an affair with Hank Evans herself. Following a confrontation and a moment of reconciliation where they plan to save their marriage, she is devastated when Jack finally leaves her.
