A free-spirited artist Al meets at a Kansas City bar. She joins their comedy tour, offers Al psychedelic mushrooms, and shares a romantic night with him before leaving a goodbye note. She later rekindles her connection with Al, who ultimately chooses to stay with her in Kansas.
