The schoolmaster who witnesses Anna handing a child to the Count. He leads the villagers in staking Mitterhaus and curses him. Fifteen years later, he returns to find his daughter Dora targeted. He is killed by Emil in the crypt but sacrifices the Count’s stake to Anton for the final blow.
