Protagonist who acts as caretaker for the Arwell family in 1941. He follows the children into a time portal, discovers a forest of wood creatures, and realizes he must channel the forest's life force through Madge to save it. He successfully escapes the acid rain, reunites with the Arwells, and joins Amy and Rory for Christmas.
