The daughter of a ballpark concessionaire who first teases Gehrig as tanglefoot after a clumsy play. After their proper introduction, they develop a romantic relationship, get engaged, and marry despite initial opposition from Gehrig's traditional mother. She becomes his devoted wife and supporter throughout his career and illness.
