Central protagonist and daughter of the hunchbacked farmer. Resides in the hills, herds goats, and is ostracized by villagers who label her a witch. Driven by familial tragedy, she blocks the village spring to exact revenge, but ultimately forgives the community and seeks a new life with the schoolteacher.
