LAPD vice-squad detective and Rita Crowe's father. Initially harbors anti-Japanese prejudice after his daughter is groped by Hiroshi Hada. Assigned to locate Fumiko Hada, his views shift upon realizing the family's deep parental love. Partners with Eddie Rios to rescue Fumiko from Duke's prostitution ring. Later tracks Duke to a harbor, survives a gang shootout, and delivers poetic justice by imprisoning Duke with sexually aggressive inmates instead of killing him.
