A young, energetic archaeologist discredited for his supernatural theories. He investigates his brother-in-law's disappearance, partners with Masao, and learns ancient incantations to seal the burial mound. He ultimately becomes possessed by the yōkai Reiko but is rescued when Masao banishes her.
