Hushpuppy's ailing and hot-tempered father who lives in the Bathtub. He disappears, returns in a hospital gown, and collapses after arguing with Hushpuppy. He leads neighbors through a storm, plans to blast the levee to save their home, undergoes surgery, and ultimately passes away while preparing for his funeral.
