The former owner of the isolated villa and the central figure of the past tragedy. She shares a deeply enmeshed, nearly incestuous bond with her adoptive brother Manfredi before marrying pianist Timothy. Plagued by depression and suicidal tendencies, she is ultimately murdered by Manfredi.
