Police Captain in the 1972 film. He investigates Cal Asby's murder and the underlying numbers racket. While suspicious of Shaft, he pragmatically requests his assistance to prevent a mob takeover. At the climax, he accepts Shaft's implied decision to donate the recovered funds to charity.
