A passionate member of the Dominican resistance who meets Minerva after school. He becomes her romantic partner and gives her the iconic nickname Butterfly. After participating in college protests, he is forced into exile but continues communicating with Minerva until he is assassinated abroad by Trujillo's military intelligence agents.
