A British soldier and childhood friend of Gulliver who serves in Basra. Initially reluctant to join the abuse of Iraqi detainees, he is coerced by his peers. Haunted by guilt, he seeks guidance from the unit chaplain but ultimately cannot cope with the trauma, leading to his suicide after his unit covers up the atrocities.
