A young ninja from a low-ranking family who enrolls in a six-year Ninja Academy course. During summer holidays, he spends time with classmates and his teacher. He takes a central role in the plot by joining a mountain bell-ringing contest alongside his friends to save former clan members Yukitaka and Takamaru from assassination.
