One of Izumi's closest friends and romantic interests. He supports her diving, rescues her from the pool after her accident, and accompanies her to the stone circle. After searching for her disappearance, he falls unconscious at the site and suffers amnesia. Years later, he becomes a researcher based on her diary, revisiting the stone circle where he finally reunites with her.
