An Orthodox Jewish teacher for the visually impaired who bonds with Nasira at school. She struggles against stereotypes from her family and Principal Jacoby. Her arranged marriage process is controlled by a matchmaker who ignores her preferences, prompting her to halt the search. She ultimately finds a husband she likes with Nasira's help and ends the film married with a baby.
