Gail's husband, a German-born mercenary pilot flying for the Japanese forces. Captured by Chinese guerrillas and condemned to death, he is secured by Joe during a raid. He breaks free, wounds Joe, but ultimately helps eliminate Japanese machine gun nests before dying.
