Knight and younger brother of the dying Hugh. He rescues Saladin from a well and accompanies him to Egypt. Later tasked by Baldwin to defend a castle against Saladin. He organizes Jerusalem's defense with Sibylla, ultimately surrenders the city to Saladin to protect its inhabitants from massacre.
