A middle-aged, divorced, and outspoken social activist who is the devoted mother of Gilbert. After being diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor, her final wish is to meet her lifelong idol, Greta Garbo. She passes away shortly after Garbo fulfills this wish by visiting her in the hospital.
