An unscrupulous Egyptian business associate of Gerald. He attempts to woo Diana and orchestrates Gerald's departure to isolate her. He later tries to force himself on Diana at his oasis retreat but is thwarted by Jamil. His guards are killed in the ensuing desert confrontation.
