Protagonist and mother of Clara. After her daughter is bitten by a rattlesnake, she makes a supernatural pact to save her life. Bound by a deadline to repay a soul debt by sunset or watch Clara die, she tracks down an abusive man named Billy. After being struck by him, she kills him when he is bitten by a snake, successfully fulfilling the pact and saving her daughter.
Billy exerts psychological and physical control over his partner, making him a prime target for Katrina's mission.
