The apathetic US President who initially dismisses the comet threat. She pivots to a commercial mining scheme after learning the comet contains rare-earth elements, sidelining scientists and hiring Mindy. She launches a "Don't Look Up" anti-campaign, abandons her son to flee on a spaceship, and is later killed by an alien creature in the mid-credits.
